I've never actually made banana bread before, so this was an adventure. It turned out pretty well, but I'm not completely satisfied. The bananas weren't over-ripe like they should have been because I didn't want to wait any longer to make this - but I think that would have definitely improved the bread. Next time, I'm going to force myself to be patient and I think I'd like to try a different recipe as well. Not that there were any major problems with this one, but experimenting couldn't hurt. I used a recipe from Gracious Rain, but used mostly whole wheat flour, and added 1/2 tsp. vanilla and cinnamon.
